2011 Apprentice Chardonnay
The grapes were whole cluster pressed and cold fermented in stainless steel tanks to improve delicate fruit flavors. The wine was fermented and aged sur lie (without racking) in New French Oak barrels for 6 months.
Our 2011 Napa Valley Chardonnay is at the forefront of the trend for refreshing wines that let the fruit shine with 6 months of new French oak influence. We’ve captured the bright, pure essence of Oakville, Napa Valley Fruit. Aromatic notes of ripe stone fruit and vanilla are elevated by flavors of spice cake, Meyer lemon, crème brulée and pear accentuated with crisp green apple with a touch of honey.
