Our 2009 Rose’ary is sure to stimulate your palate from start to finish. The aromatics start off with bright strawberry and move to cranberry. Its flavorful richness also boasts crisp acidity and a richness that lingers. Enjoy this poolside or at a warm summer BBQ with friends and family.
We’ve taken the Saignée from our red varietals and blended them together to come up with this light and refreshing wine. It was partially barrel fermented in used oak, and the rest tank fermented at very low temperatures of 49°F to maximize fruit expression.
We gathered our varietals for our Saignée from many of our “old vine” varietals coming from Mendocino County and Contra Costa County. The old vines provide the concentrated fruit flavors expressed in this delicious wine.
The 2009 vintage was nearly perfect and closely mirrored the famous 2002 vintage. There were no sustained spells of unseasonable weather from April through September. Grapes from 2009 benefited from the great weather and provided winemakers with the quality they needed to make amazing wines.
