Trinitas Cellars Introduces Amarone:
We have a very exciting announcement involving the release of our very own Italian Amarone in March. Trinitas will be the first and currently only American vintner to carry an Italian Amarone in its portfolio.
Amarone is a very special wine that comes from the Valpolicella region in Italy and is made from partially dried grapes including the Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara varietals. The grapes are dried on special racks for an average of 120 days before being crushed and fermented at a low temperature through long 30-50 day fermentation. The grapes lose about 40% of their volume, concentrating the sugars and flavors of the grapes resulting in a very unique rich and dense wine. There is no wine quite like Amarone, and for those of you that have experienced Amarone, this is a great one.
The first vintage we are releasing is the 2006 and we only made 600 bottles of it! This will be the first wine in our new Trinitas Family Collection line, which will be comprised of our highest quality and most favorite wines. My Father, Tim Busch, loves Amarone and he said we needed to have our very own Amarone and that dream is now a reality. This is a special wine with very little supply, honestly I’m surprised my dad is even letting us sell any of it I thought he would keep it all to himself, so please get some while it lasts…which could quite literally be a few weeks.
