Trinitas has been a part of my wife and my life now for I believe a decade or more. We discovered Trinitas by accident at one of our favorite restaurants in the Annapolis, Maryland area where we live. That first introduction to Trinitas was their Old Vine Zinfadel and after one bottle, my wife and I were hooked! Brenda has always been partial to Zin's and when we found Trinitas we knew we'd found a real keeper. We finally decided to join the club in 2010 after sampling more of the great offerings from them. Over the years we've become partial to the Mataro, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Chardonnay. The Magnum of the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is a special favorite and one we turn to often for entertaining when we have 6 people or more. The Chardonnay made for a very memorable 4th of July celebration one year when Brenda and her girl friends sampled a flight of 3 consecutive years of this wonderful white. Though we've never visited the tasting cave or library, it's certainly on our bucket list for our next vineyard vacation. Discovering great wine and fantastic foods to pair with it has been an especially enjoyable part of our lives for the past 20 years and the Trinitas family of wines play a big role in that. We were additionally thrilled to find out about the connection between Trinitas and Notre Dame through one of our close friends and neighbors who attended Notre Dame in the first female graduating class. We both grew up in small towns with little introduction to wine, my wife in Western Pennsylvania and myself from North Central Iowa. We met in DC while both working for the Defense Department nearly 30 years ago. Our love for each other and for wine continue to grow stronger every year.
