Tim and Steph Busch have always had a passion for wine and the wine country, and in 2002 they realized their dream of starting a winery. Trinitas Cellars is a small winery based in Napa Valley that still today is owned and operated by the Busch family, including their children Garrett and Kenzie.
Trinitas celebrates the connection among sun, soil, and humanity by working closely with its grower society throughout Northern California. Furthermore, Trinitas sources a broad range of varietals from the regions where climate and soil conditions are most favorable for each specific varietal. Small quantities of these exceptional grapes are then handcrafted into an approachable California-style wine to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with food. Some of our wines come from historical vineyards in Northern California with a number of vineyards over a century old.
Meet the Family
Trinitas Founders, Tim & Steph Busch
Born in Michigan, Tim relocated to sunny Southern California where he met his wife, Steph. Married for 22 years, they have two children, Garrett and Mackenzie. Tim is a co-founder of the Magis Institute, which sponsors a host of spiritual endeavors including retreats, ethics training, and wealth stewardship forums. Additionally, he serves on Boards for The Catholic University of America, Patrons of the Vatican Arts, John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington DC and the Papal Foundation. Tim and Steph live in South Orange County and enjoy traveling, relaxing, golfing and wine. Tim is a collector of religious icons and artwork. Their passion for wine lead them to found Trinitas Cellars in 2002. In July 2006, their most recent hotel, The Meritage Resort & Spa, opened in Napa, California.

Winemaker, Kevin Mills
Kevin Mills grew up in Oklahoma where he and his family have grown vines since 1977. After years of hard work and many "interesting" wines they decided to go to school. Kevin enrolled in Grayson County College’s Viticulture and Enology program at Denison, Texas and together started Canadian River Winery. Kevin met Tony Peju of Peju Province Winery and mentored under then Peju Winemaker Sean Foster for four and a half years. Kevin took the winemaker position for Trinitas Cellars in January, 2007. His emphasis is to mainstream Trinitas with top tier Bordeaux and Burgundy varietals. Kevin has introduced Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet programs to the Trinitas Portfolio.

Director of Operations, Garrett Busch
Garrett was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from Notre Dame University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Entrepreneurship and an MBA in finance. Garrett's education and passion for wine, growing up with the family winery, prepared him to join the Trinitas team in 2010. He learns something new about the wine industry every day and loves being a part of this exciting venture.
National Sales Manager, Jennifer Heim
Jennifer Heim was born and raised in Northern California. She attended Cal Poly State University and majored in Business Marketing and Viticulture. Her passion for wine led her to internships within the vineyards, cellars and tasting rooms. Out of college she moved directly to Napa. She worked first in Winery Compliance, then took a job three years later at Markham Vineyards in Marketing and Sales and worked for President Bryan Del Bondio. Jen and Bryan developed a great relationship and much of what she has learned industry wise has been from him, her greatest mentor. Jen took the position of National Sales and Marketing Manager for Trinitas one year ago. She travels to 32 states selling the Trinitas brand and enjoys traveling and selling the brand to the finest wine conoissieurs from all over the world.

Regional Sales Manager, So. California & Midwest, Will Phelps
Will Phelps grew up in the Napa Valley and quickly developed an appreciation for wine. After graduating from the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration, he worked the 2008 harvest in the cellars of Domaine E. Guigal in the Northern Rhône Valley of France. It was during this time that he fell in love with wine, especially the Syrah-based wines of the Rhône. Will has also worked at wineries in the Barossa Valley, Australia, and Napa Valley. Besides his passion for wine, he also enjoys surfing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Sales Manager, Los Angeles, Christine Law
Christine Law was born and raised on the East Coast, where she graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in English. She worked in the media industry for several years in Virginia and New York City before deciding to move across the country to Los Angeles, where she quickly fell in love with California's weather and wines. While working in media at Fox Broadcasting Company and KTLA-TV, Christine explored California's wine country on wine tasting trips to Napa, Sonoma and the Central Coast. In 2010, her passion for wine led her to pursue a career in the wine industry, and she's excited to now be a part of the Trinitas team. In addition to wine, Christine enjoys daily runs on the beach, whodunit novels, "Law & Order" marathons, Italian food (see daily runs), attempting to hone her cooking skills (a work in progress), and continuing to explore all that California has to offer.
Wine Society Manager, Heather Manross
Heather is a Scottsdale, Arizona native and the 4th generation of her family to work in the wine industry. With family vintners in Oregon and Washington, Heather is choosing to pursue a wine education at Napa Valley College, in Viticulture & Enology. She has a double major in Cinema and Television Production, and previously enjoyed a successful career as a Producer on Films and TV shows such as Top Chef and Project Runway. While working in Hollywood, Heather also began a career in wine and earned the WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) certification. Today she is Manager of the Trinitas Wine Society in Napa Valley and plans to take the club to a new level.
Administrative Coordinator, Kim Buchman
Kim Buchman grew up in Southern California and is an admin assistant for Trinitas Cellars. Kim started working for Trinitas Cellars in 2009, and has learned a lot about the wine business everything from the shipping to the tastings. Working with Trinitas Cellars is a great experience and Kim is excited to be a part of the growing Trinitas team.
